As part of the 2025 “Clean and Green Andhra” initiative, the Repalle Municipality launched a large-scale cleanliness and plantation drive across the town. Over 300 volunteers, including students, NGO members, and local residents, participated in planting more than 2,000 saplings along major roads, near schools, and around public parks.
Municipal officials emphasized the importance of maintaining hygiene, reducing plastic waste, and promoting eco-friendly practices in everyday life. This initiative aims to transform Repalle into a model green town in the Guntur district, with community involvement at its heart. Plans are underway to introduce weekly clean-up programs and awareness workshops for school students.
